Account Registration And Management

Is registration required?

To create a chatroom, yes. However, your users are able to chat right away without registering.

We recommend encouraging long-time users, especially moderators, to register an account, so they can keep their same preferences, ranks, and more synced up across devices. You can also automatically register accounts using Single Sign-On, removing the need for users to manually sign up.

How do users register?

In any chat, users can click on their name, then click the "Sign Up" button to get started.

How do users change their password

In any chat whilst logged in users can click on their name, then click the "Account Settings" button, and then click on the "Change Password" button. This will allow them to change their password.

If they are logged out and do not remember their password, the login page will offer a link they can click to attempt to recover their password if they've forgotten it.

How do users change their username/email?

In any chat, users can click on their name, then click the "Account Settings" button.

Username changes can be disabled entirely via the Organization Settings, if desired.
