Direct Messages

Direct messages are private messages between users.

To edit direct message settings for your chat, go to the chat settings page and click Direct Messages.

Note: If your chat targets users under the age of 18, links/uploads will always be disabled in Direct Messages.

Allow Direct Messages?

You can turn off direct messages between users with this option.

In some cases, turning off direct messages between users will make your chat easier to moderate.

Allow File Uploads via DMs?

By default, users are allowed to send files to each other via direct messages.

You may want to restrict this if inappropriate files are being shared between users.
